Thermal Restore · from £89

Hotter, louder, slower than it used to be.

Most high-end laptops leave the factory thermally and power-limited. Paste dries, pads compress, heatsinks clog. I measure, then remove the physical limits.

Laptop open on the bench — extra copper and Fehonda putty on CPU and GPU

What’s included

  • Full internal clean
  • Cooling-system inspection
  • Paste replacement (Kryonaut / NT-H2 class)
  • Fehonda putty where pads have failed or contact is poor
  • Fan curve once the hardware can cool without screaming
  • Before/after temperature logging
  • Sustained load test — hours, not a 30-second burst

Replacement of stock paste with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut or Noctua NT-H2 class compound. Degraded pads get Fehonda thermal putty where contact is the actual limit. Logging of package temperature, hotspot, power-limit throttling and clocks under the same sustained load before and after.

Liquid metal and delidding are not standard services. The gain can be real; so are the risks. Those jobs are in-person only, and only if you fully understand the downsides.

Extra copper heat paths and Fehonda putty across CPU and GPU

Extra copper and Fehonda putty — added so CPU and GPU hold a maxed gaming session for hours without throttling. Quoted when the stock cooling path isn’t enough. Not every Thermal Restore.

On laptops this is usually the highest-ROI work — not exotic memory timing. If a paste-and-clean is all the machine needs, I will say so rather than selling copper or a larger package.
