Services

Pick an outcome. I’ll confirm the price after I see the machine.

Four core packages for performance and specialist work, a cheap diagnostic if you’re not sure, plus repair, local AI and custom builds.

Who it’s for

From £89

Thermal Restore

For systems running hotter, louder or slower than they used to. Most laptop gains start here — paste, pads, and contact. Extra copper and Fehonda putty where the stock path can’t hold a maxed session.

  • Full internal clean
  • Cooling-system inspection
  • Paste replacement (Kryonaut / NT-H2 class)
  • Fehonda putty where pads have failed or contact is poor
  • Fan curve once the hardware can cool without screaming
  • Before/after temperature logging
  • Sustained load test — hours, not a 30-second burst

Performance Tune

For gaming laptops and desktops that are not delivering what the hardware should. Baseline, remove the limits, prove the result.

  • Full baseline
  • Thermal / power analysis
  • Windows and firmware optimisation
  • GPU / CPU tuning where it actually moves the needle
  • Stability validation
  • Before/after benchmark report

Forge Advanced

For enthusiasts who want everything the silicon will give, stably. Hours of iteration — not an EXPO toggle.

  • Everything in Performance Tune
  • Manual memory tuning (primary, secondary, tertiary)
  • Per-core Curve Optimizer where the platform allows it
  • Advanced GPU optimisation
  • Extended stability testing
  • Detailed results report

Memory tuning is iterative — change, restart, test, repeat. There is no shortcut. The time on the bench is what makes it stable.

Audiophile systems

HQPlayer, PGGB and DSD 512 pipelines. Highest-spec work I do — measured, stable, low-latency. Almost nobody else in the UK takes this on.

  • DPC latency and interrupt diagnosis
  • Power-management and timer behaviour
  • HQPlayer / PGGB / DSD pipeline setup
  • Stability under long listening sessions
  • Written notes on what changed and why

Entry point

Performance Health Check — £59

Done remotely over TeamViewer, with you on the session. I benchmark the machine, read temps, power and throttling, and tell you what is actually worth doing. Credited in full if you go ahead with £200+ of work. It is an assessment — not a physical strip-down.

  • Live TeamViewer session — I don’t leave an unattended install
  • Baseline on the same suite I would use for the job
  • Thermal, power and throttle reading from sensors
  • A clear recommendation — including “don’t spend the money”

Remote can prove software, firmware, power limits and sensor thermals. Paste, pads, dust and extra copper still need the machine on the bench.
