Courier & shipping
- UK-wide collection and return via tracked courier.
- Machines must be adequately packaged. I can advise; I am not liable for damage caused by inadequate packing by the sender.
- Courier liability is limited to the courier’s own terms once the package is in transit. Declare value and use cover appropriate for high-value equipment.
- Local collection/return within the Carmarthenshire / Swansea / Newport corridor can often be arranged at lower or no cost on larger jobs.
Diagnosis & deposits
- A diagnosis fee or deposit may be required before work begins, especially on complex, water-damaged or previously tampered machines.
- If you proceed with the quoted repair, the diagnosis fee is normally credited against the final invoice.
- If you decline after diagnosis, the diagnosis fee remains payable.
- No-fix-no-fee applies only to agreed repair work, not to diagnosis time already spent.
- The £59 Performance Health Check is credited in full against £200+ of subsequent work.
Warranty & limits
- All repairs carry a 90-day guarantee on the work carried out and parts I supply.
- The guarantee covers the specific fault repaired — not unrelated failures, pre-existing conditions outside the agreed work, or damage after the machine leaves my care.
- Performance and audiophile work is guaranteed for stability of the applied settings under the tested conditions. It does not guarantee specific scores after future Windows or driver updates.
- Liquid metal is not used on customer machines as a standard service. I will not accept liability for liquid-metal work performed elsewhere.
- Data recovery: reasonable care, no guarantee of recovery from failed media. Critical data should be discussed before work begins.
General
- Quotes are estimates based on the information provided. Additional issues discovered during work will be discussed before further charges.
- Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed.
- I reserve the right to refuse work that is unsafe, uneconomic, or outside practical capability.
